North Carolina Tax Credit – Renewable Energy Property
If a taxpayer that has constructed, purchased, or leased renewable energy property places it into service in North Carolina during the taxable year, the taxpayer is allowed a tax credit equal to 35% of the cost of the property. The costs associated with the solar panel on the solar attic fan or the attic fan and battery in street lights qualify for the tax credit, but all other costs do not.
