In this video we completely install our fully adjustable tilt solar fan. This fan uses the same time-proven American design and manufactured system. Our adjustable tilt solar fan provides the highest airflow in the solar attic fan industry. This solar fan series comes with an adjustable 20 watt or 30 watt solar panel. This allows for a perfect installation every time—just point the panel directly towards the sun for better performance.
360° rotation and 35° tilt make our adjustable tilt solar fan perfect for less than ideal fan locations, such as homes that don’t directly face the south. Comes in high or low profile flashings for all types of roofing materials, and an aluminum fan blade (Brush Motor) or polymer fan blade (Brushless DC Motor) for adequate air flow.
Adjustable Tilt Solar Fan Installation: Things to Consider
Install only one type of exhaust vent and remove or plug any existing exhaust vents. Install adequate intake ventilation for a Balanced System (50% Exhaust & 50% Intake). Make sure you are in accordance with state and local code requirements. Intake vents must be installed low at the roof’s edge or in the soffit/undereave.
Take Precautions & Be Prepared When You Install A Solar Gable Fan
As with any home improvement project, make sure to take normal safety precautions when you install a solar gable fan. When using tools, ladders and walking on roofs, know your limitations. Only install a solar gable fan in dry weather, and do not cut any structural members in the house. Confirm access to all components including panel, fan, cable, caulk and screws. Assemble proper tools including:
- Ladder
- Reciprocating saw or jig saw
- Power drill with a 1/2” – 1” inch drill bit
- 1 – 2” deck screw and screw bit
- Hammer, roofing nails and staples
- Caulk Gun with Waterproof Roofing Sealant
- Measuring tape or ruler
- Permanent marker, sidewalk chalk or crayon
- Roofing knife or box cutter
- Flat pry bar
The most advanced, high efficiency solar attic ventilation system in the world.
yellowblue™ Eco Tech guarantees better air performance because of the Maximum Power Point Technology (MPPT) feature, which maintains the highest possible air flow under all solar conditions by utilizing all the power available from the solar panel to set the highest fan speed.
