Diablo IV Review friv game - Not in vain

After so many years of waiting, Diablo IV has finally come to light, offering players to once again fight evil, along the way going through several thousand items of equipment and dozens of skills in search of the most effective build. We share our impressions of the game in our review from a popular online games provider Friv2Online.

It's been 50 years since the events of Diablo III. In Sanctuary, which has barely returned to normal, a new threat appears - the succubus queen Lilith, who with her evil power affects the minds of people, nurturing the worst vices in them.

The protagonist is a nameless wanderer who almost fell victim to the villagers drugged by a demoness. Fortunately for him, a savior appears, one of the last Horadrims, who sees in the protagonist the one who can fulfill the prophecy and kill Lilith. Thus begins the story of the fight against evil in Diablo IV.

It is worth noting that the friv game is incredibly cinematic. There are quite a few very long cut-scenes, and there are even more ordinary dialogues with characters. The videos are well staged, you want to follow the plot, and often you are in a hurry to go through the main missions to find out what will happen next. Among the secondary tasks, there are sometimes pearls, although first you have to delve into a pile of tasks like "go and kill so many monsters." Diablo IV is even capable of discouraging "gray morality": not all demons are unambiguously bad here, just as not all angels live up to the reputation of their tribe.

At the same time, the friv game returns to the series that gloomy atmosphere that was trampled on by the colorful Diablo III. Now the world is again covered with a gray filter and covered in blood, and if you look carefully around you, you can see terrible things that happen in Sanctuary separately from the main story.

The fourth part of the Diablo series boasts a full-fledged seamless open world that impresses with its scale. Here you can freely go in any direction: the snow-covered plain will be replaced by a dense forest, which will turn into a rocky plateau, and then a mountain range will begin. These are the realms of monsters, with rare islands of safety in the form of settlements: there you can trade, heal, improve and repair your equipment, and finally take a couple of quests - and again go in search of adventure.

There is a lot to do in the friv game world. The locations are crammed with ordinary mobs, you can’t even take a step so as not to run into some kind of monster. Temporary events appear here and there - mini-quests, which usually end with a boss fight and the appearance of a chest with loot. During the journey, you can stumble upon dungeons - quite long, with a mandatory boss at the end and a reward in the form of a class aspect (something like a passive bonus). There are also smaller dungeons - rather, cellars for one or two rooms, which are inhabited by monsters that store valuable loot.

There are a lot of activities here, so the standard run to the point of the story quest does not look like a straight line on the map, but more often turns into a winding route: the player is either distracted by an event nearby, then notices a new city, then goes deeper into another dungeon for a good hour. Having sat down in the evening to complete a couple of main missions, there is a high probability of not even getting to the first of them by night - the notorious "Diablo magic" works in the fourth part.

The friv game is addictive, among other things, because it is very pleasant to cut monsters in it. Each blow is felt: the ax sinks into the carcass of the enemy with relish, arrows stick into the limbs of monsters, and spells flare up in sheaves of sparks. The environment reacts to what is happening, and it's not just about boxes and barrels flying into chips: look closely, and you will see how the whirlwind of wind released by the druid crushes the grass under him in flight. This attention to detail is impressive.

The complexity of the gameplay can be adjusted to suit your skill and desire to overcome. If you want, kill monsters with one left, or challenge yourself and set the most difficult level, which will force you to carefully select equipment and skills for more effective destruction of opponents.


Diablo IV has five classes with different abilities and play styles. The barbarian is hardy and strong, the druid relies on the forces of nature and turning into beasts, the sorceress wields murderous spells, the rogue uses ranged attacks and poisons, and the necromancer creates a small army from fallen enemies.

Each of the classes contains several working builds that radically change the gameplay. For example, the development of the bear branch for the druid will allow you to smash monsters with brute force, the skills of the wolf make it possible to bite painfully and poison opponents, and the elemental build will make the hero a lightning lord with high AoE damage.

Experimenting with development branches is interesting, and the friv game provides the ability to reset all abilities for a small fee and pump in a completely different way. Therefore, you can not regret choosing a skill that did not suit you - just “cancel” it and take another one; you compensate for the gold spent on this by breaking a couple of barrels nearby.

But even each class has its own special quests, the completion of which opens up new bonuses. The same druid can bring offerings to the spirits of animals to receive passive buffs, and the necromancer will unlock the ability to endow his undead with different properties and summon a golem.

And besides that, Diablo IV is full of things of varying degrees of rarity, rings and amulets, and you can insert precious stones into these things, as well as improve them at the blacksmith. Altars of Lilith are scattered around the world, increasing characteristics, and somewhere in the dungeons you can get legendary equipment, albeit with a small chance of falling out. Try to create the most efficient assembly here - it can take more than a dozen hours to sort through the options.

The only annoying thing is that at some point the pumping slows down dramatically, and the character begins to gain levels for an excruciatingly long time. You build the perfect build, start implementing it, and stumble over the slow growth of the character. In addition, there are not enough interesting active abilities here - the desire of developers to limit their number is affected due to the need to scatter spells on the gamepad keys, which are not that much. Therefore, most development points have to be invested in passives.

Diablo IV didn't become an MMO, to the delight of some and the disappointment of others. However, you will not wander around Sanctuary alone: ​​from time to time players meet here, not only in hub cities, but also outside them. An uninvited companion can help defeat the world boss and go on about your business; such situational activities refresh the pastime well. The console version of the project has co-op on one screen - just wonderful: both participants have enough space, the game does not slow down if someone climbs into the inventory, and the difficulty adjusts to the number of players.

The fourth part of the great series did not disgrace itself before its predecessors. Diablo IV looks good and sounds great, draws you in for dozens of hours and traditionally reveals itself in a new way in the end friv game, where new activities and resources are added, and a mount appears for fast movement around the world. And there are more battle pass seasons to come, as well as major expansions, new dungeons, and more. And we are not talking about one or two years of development: the developers consider project support as a marathon, not a sprint, so you should count on a stable influx of content.

Although the game is not perfect (in fairness, every installment of the Diablo series has something to scold), it can definitely be called one of the best entertainment for those who like to cut hundreds of monsters, try out different character builds and thoughtfully sort through the gear in the inventory.
